Last night, the Prime Minister announced a national lockdown, with schools scheduled to be closed to all but vulnerable children and the children of key workers, until at least after the February half-term.
It has also been clarified that not all exams will go ahead in the summer. However, there is no further information at this point and we will contact you with further information as it emerges. We have been told that the vocational exams planned for next week will go ahead as planned.
This is clearly not the news that any of us would have wanted and we appreciate the challenges that online learning creates for all pupils and for their parents/carers. With that in mind, alongside the provision of learning material we will do everything we can to work with you and support you to ensure your child continues to achieve a positive learning experience throughout the lockdown period.
